This thread states that anyone is able to create, and complete a mission. It goes into the process of missions as well as how to hire a PC to perform missions for you.

Mission Overview

In an organized society, ninja (and other) are given missions depending on their rank. The missions are categorized in five ranks, based on how dangerous the mission is and how important it is. Kages abide by the rules given to ensure safety with their ninja while bounty hunters, and simple adventurers are free to take their own mission of will. However adventurers and bounty hunters must pick with their own discretion. Just like taking missions anyone is able to create missions within reason.

o Who can take Missions? Anyone. There are restrictions however. Missing Ninja cannot take same village missions as well as adventurers. A ninja may never take a mission from another village. Non-Ninjas and Missing Ninjas may take other kinds of missions however they must use their own judgment on what to take.

o Who can make Missions? Anyone. Kages must have a thread dedicated to Missions in the village. Thread must be stickied. Anyone else may create missions by Roleplaying it out in taverns or other places.



Mission Ranks

* "D" Rank - assigned to Genin fresh from the Ninja Academy. They pose almost no risk to the ninja's life and usually consist of odd jobs like farming and babysitting work. These Missions are worth 750 to 1,250 Ryo per person for Non-Ninja, while 937 to 1,562 Ryo per person for Ninja Village.

* "C" Rank - assigned to more experienced Genin or Chūnin. They are missions anticipated to have some combat involved with the possibility of injury to the shinobi performing it. Examples are guarding people, background investigations, or capturing or suppressing wild animals. These Missions are worth 1,500 Ryo to 2,500 Ryo per person for Non-Ninja, while 1,875, to 3,187 Ryo per person for Ninja Village.

* "B" Rank - assigned to experienced Chūnin. They are missions anticipated to involve combat with other ninja. Examples are guarding people, espionage, or killing other ninja. These Missions are worth 2,750 Ryo to 5,000 Ryo per person for Non-Ninja, while 3,437 to 6,250 Ryo per person for Ninja Village.

* "A" Rank - assigned to Jōnin, concerning, among other things, village-or state-level matters and trends. Examples are guarding VIPs or suppressing ninja forces. These Missions are worth 5,250 Ryo to 10,000 Ryo per person for Non-Ninja, while 6,562 to 12,500 Ryo per person for Ninja Village.

* "S" Rank - assigned to experienced Jōnin and concern state-level confidential matters. Examples are assassinating VIPs, and transporting highly classified documents. These Missions are worth 10,250 Ryo to 20,000 Ryo per person for Non-Ninja, while 12,812 to 25,000 Ryo per person for Ninja Village.



Mission Responsibilities

Every individual may create a mission but has a responsibility to do so. A user may even higher others to perform missions for them.

o Kage - Kages must have a thread dedicated to Missions in the village. Thread must be stickied. Follow the Mission Template. It is a Kage's responsibility to remove 25% of earning per individual to go to the greater good of the village. This means that an individual may not necessarily earn the full amount, but earn as much as any Non-Ninja may earn depending on the Kage's decision.

o Ninja - Ninjas may make their own missions (OOC). Follow the Mission Template. Create a new thread with the word "Mission" on it. Then have the Kage, or a Staff member verify and okay the mission.

o Missing/Non-Ninja - These people have no boundaries to any Village or even Organization. To Gain a mission Roleplay must be done. Create a mission using the Mission Template. Roleplay as if gaining the mission by a mysterious party, or by finding a Mission Board a tavern may have. Missing/Non-Ninja must be careful what they take as time to time a GM may be forced to create a realistic situation if a Missing/Non-Ninja abuses the money transaction system.

o Receiving Mission Reward - For Ninjas either the Kage or a Staff member may give the reward to user's account. For Missing/Non-Ninja please contact a staff member to give the reward to user's account.



Hiring Process

Any user may hire someone. Ninjas have been known to hire other Ninjas, and Non-Ninjas are the bread and butter that hire Ninjas. Below are the rules that states what must happen when hiring a Ninja, or hiring a Non-Ninja.

General Rules

+ User may hire Non-Ninja, or Ninja.
+ User must follow Reward system at all times.
+ User pays less for Non-Ninjas than Ninjas due to the success rate established by Ninja. Example: Non-Ninja gets paid 750 to 1,250 Ryo per person for a "D" Rank mission, and a Ninja gets paid 937 to 1,562 Ryo per person for a "D" Rank mission.


Ninja Hiring Rules

+ User must go to a Ninja Village Embassy in order to hire Ninja.
+ Kages have full authority to deny mission.
+ Kages normally accept missions if hiring a 3 to 4 man squad to ensure success of mission. This is Kage's choice.
+ If Ninja takes mission, they must first verify with Kage.
+ If Mission is accepted Ryo must be given to receptionist up front.
+ Failure to mission requires refund to the one hiring by gaining refund with Receptionist.


Non-Ninja Rules

+ It is recommended to go to a Tavern to hire a Non-Ninja.
+ Advanced Reward may be given to owner of Tavern while a Mission Posting is posted in Tavern boards until a Non-Ninja accepts and completes mission.
+ After Non-Ninja completes mission they may gain reward from Tavern owner which was paid up front.
+ Failure of Mission results to getting refund, or waiting for new Non-Ninja to accept and complete mission.
+ User does not have to hire through Tavern means. Other means may present themselves however these deals are considered more "shady" as both parties may or may not try to take advantage of a situation.

Mission Template


Clients will come to any kind of situation and pay for the services of both Ninja and Non-Ninja. These jobs range from basic assignments such as walking a dog, to the assassination of deadly wanted criminals.

Jobs are divided into difficulty ranks of "D", "C", "B", "A", and "S" and the reward is given depending on the difficulty rank of the mission. If the mission is completed successfully, the client will then pay the amount needed. Most of the time the amount is paid up front and if a mission ends in a failure a refund is then given.



Name:

What is the name of the Mission. Every Mission has some sort of name. Does not have to be a flashy name but needs one none the less.



Rank:

Every Mission has a Rank. Missions rank from "D" to "S" as they are weakest to strongest.

IIC Length:

Inactive In Character - It is used when a person is unable to post within an amount of time that is stated at the beginning of the thread. When the person misses the amount of time they will be skipped and another user may post. This is to keep a thread alive. User must pick how many days are allowed to pass by before a person is skipped. This is used for Missions dealing with multiple people.



Difficulty:

What is the difficulty of the mission? There are 3 difficulties. Depending on the Rank and Difficulty of the mission it could be considered easy, or difficult to the person taking the mission. The 3 Difficulties are Easy, Moderate, and Difficult. User own discretion when contemplating on difficulty of Mission.



Objective:

A dumb-down version of the description. Here you list the most basic needs in finishing the mission. Do you have to save a princess? Destroy a dragon? Find a cat? Hold off an invasion?



Description:

This is the area where you go through, step by step, listing what the mission is about. You start by stating what the mission is about, where the mission takes place, how to get to the mission and what is needed in order to finish the mission. You must give as much information as possible that pertains to the mission including schematics, diagrams, and other intelligence that may help the one taking the mission to have success.



Reward:

* "D" Rank - Missions are worth 750 to 1,250 Ryo per person for Non-Ninja, while 937 to 1,562 Ryo per person for Ninja Village.

* "C" Rank - Missions are worth 1,500 Ryo to 2,500 Ryo per person for Non-Ninja, while 1,875, to 3,187 Ryo per person for Ninja Village.
